I often put raw cacao into my smoothies because of it's taste and antioxidant effect. I just read a story that gives even more reasons for doing this. I don't put sugar in my smoothies, and I think that is important as sugar will often have the opposite effect.
Obesity is in part caused by inflammations in the body. In a recent study, cacao (pure chocolate) was given to obese mice and it had a profound effect. Take a look at this article for more info:

The Neo-Artist (book and Kickstarter)
As many of you know I've been involved with 3D printing for over 4 years, and have been using different types of high-tech tools to make art and products for most of my life. Over the last 4 years I've also taught a lot of people how to use these tools to make their own ideas become reality.
After doing the lecture at California Institute of the Arts I realized that the most effective way to help the most people would be to put out a book to explain all these high-tech tools, as well as how to market and sell your work.
I'm doing a Kickstarter for the book and am offering the E-Book at about 50% off of what the expected retail price will be. You can watch the video, and read about all the rewards for participating here:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lincolnkamm/the-neo-artist-a-high-tech-guide-to-making-art-and
Besides my own years of experience going into the book, there will also be some interviews with other successful artists including Tim Biskup, Cathie Fillian, Mike Kunkel, the folks at Bug House, and more!
Some of the Kickstarter premiums include special discounts on a few of my most popular silver pendant designs!
The Kickstarter runs from June 11 at 1PM (PST) until July 12 at 1PM (PST) so check it out right away, and please share it with other creative people you know so that more artists can learn to set them selves free from relying on corporations, and instead make money from their own creations.

Bread Cat Meme
I love cats, I love every kind of cat, and I want to hug them all but I can't, can't.
So, instead I make art jewelry based on cats! :)
Here's the latest one. If you haven't seen the meme of "cat breading", look it up. It's funny.

Fantasy Show at Meltdown Comics
Here's a picture of me in front of my art "Giant Bathing Beauty" at a recent fantasy themed art show held at the famous Meltdown Comics on Sunset Blvd. in the nerdist gallery in Hollywood! This is the second show I've been in at Meltdown, and they are always a lot of fun with a huge turnout.

The worlds most important sculpture (based on the worlds most important painting)
Perhaps you heard about the woman that decided to try and "fix" an ancient fresco on the wall of a church in Italy. You can see the before and after image to see what she did to it. I decided it was only fitting to make a sculpture based on her important "masterpiece". If you would like one, you can get it here: http://www.shapeways.com/model/738786/jesus-meme.html?li=productBox-search

Lecture at the prestigious CalArts
I had a great time lecturing to a good sized crowd of art students at the prestigious California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California. The same school that John Lasseter from Pixar went to, as well as Tim Burton, and dozens upon dozens of Disney animators and artists.
The lecture was all about how any creative person can use high end technology to make art and money from their art. I spoke about all the major technologies available, where and how to get access to them, as well as ways to advertize and sell your work directly to your customers so you don't have give half the money to a gallery or store. I also have sections on enhancing the creative process, how to organize your projects, and ways to raise money for the big projects.
It's been a mission of mine for about 7 years to figure out a way that artists could have a better chance of making money from their art so they would not have to rely on working regular jobs, or even art based jobs such as I did in animation. This lecture was the culmination of almost a decade of research and real life experiences that I've gone through to make the money I've made from my art.
The students seemed get a lot out of it and I saw them taking lots of notes. I stayed after the lecture for 2 hours to answer questions and help them with current project they are working on. I received a lot of nice compliments about the lecture by the students before I left
I love helping artists learn how to be self sufficient and getting their creative visions out into the world. The private consulting I do is great too, but I really enjoyed being able to help so many more people at one time!
